It would hardly be proper to ask the Queen to reconsider Her Majesty's decision on this point. (The same rule was laid down for Ceylon & West Australia & presumably other Colonies for Hong Kong).
So-called "Jubilee Medals" conferred by Colonial Governor cannot be put on the same footing as Jubilee Medals conferred by the Queen.
But I take HM's pleasure ...
